Some fans began queuing to get the best spot at the concert at 3pm on Tuesday, May 16 with gates to the stadium opening at 5pm on Wednesday, May 17. Kirsty Smith, who is 22, and Taylor Golden, who is 24, slept overnight on the floor under blankets on the paved area by the River Taff outside the Principality Stadium.

Kirsty travelled two-and-a-half hours on the train from Devon, while Taylor travelled four-and-a-half hours on a bus from London. Kirsty explained why they have queued for so long, she said: "Being up close, that is the whole reason we camped so we could be guaranteed front row so you get that interaction and it's just a different experience than being in the seats because you can actually make eye contact and get the energy going."

Both admitted it was not comfy camping out, Kirsty said: "I didn't sleep, I think you just run on adrenaline but it's worth it." You can keep up to date with the latest What's On news by signing up to the newsletter here.
